What We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address. This is used only for authentication (signing in via magic link). We do not use your email for marketing.

Profile information

You choose what to add to your public tip page: display name, handle, bio, status message, venue name, schedule, social media links, and photos. All profile information you provide is publicly visible on your tip page by design.

Payment usernames

You may add your Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal username. These are displayed publicly so people can tip you. Tippable does not process, store, or have access to any financial transactions, payment amounts, bank account details, credit card numbers, or account balances. Tips go directly between the tipper and you through the payment platform of their choice.

Analytics data

When someone visits your tip page, we collect:

  • Page views and button clicks
  • Referrer URL and UTM parameters
  • A one-way hash of the visitor's IP address (we cannot reverse this to identify anyone)
  • Browser type

We do not collect real IP addresses, location data, or cookies for tracking across other websites.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate your tip page
  • To show you analytics about your page visitors
  • To send you authentication emails
  • To improve the product

What We Share

Nothing. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties. We do not display ads.

Third-Party Services

Tippable uses Supabase (database and authentication), Render (application hosting), and Resend (transactional email). These services process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted.

Your Rights

You can view, edit, and delete your profile information at any time. You can delete your account entirely from dashboard settings, which removes all your data permanently.

Children

Tippable is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
